Yellow rosellas

There's a pair of yellow rosellas in a plane tree outside Council Chambers.

I've watched as one will give the other the all-clear to leave their hollow, then they'll fly away together.

They won't give the all-clear if I'm hanging around nearby, so the pic of the bird emerging from the hollow was taken from an upstairs window.

I'd assumed they were a mating pair. Then today I watched one feed the other and realised they might have a different relationship.
