Leeton was built as part of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Scheme and it's interesting to see how birds have adapted, like the waterbirds who hang out in the channels around town.
The proximity of Fivebough Swamp also brings a lot of birds to the area, including migratory birds who fly from the northern hemisphere to breed.
